1600 MM STainless Steel Type Coil-to-Coil 8K Mirror Polishing Machine Line
A continuous stainless steel coil line combining strip preparation, SB rough polishing, multi-stage rotary disc 8K polishing, cleaning, film lamination and EPC recoiling.
High-Speed Coil Mirror Finishing
Production speed: 5-20 m/min. Actual speed depends on stainless steel grade, thickness, width, incoming surface condition and the required No.8 / 8K mirror standard.
Product Overview
The GLORY MACHINERY 1600 type coil-to-coil 8K mirror polishing machine line is engineered for continuous production of No.8 / 8K mirror-finished stainless steel coil. The line integrates heavy-duty coil handling, strip leveling and guiding, SB surface preparation, multi-stage rotary disc polishing, process-liquid control, cleaning, drying, film lamination and precision recoiling.
Compared with sheet polishing, continuous coil polishing requires stricter control of slurry, polishing residue, strip stability and cleaning. The staged process is designed to maintain a uniform polishing path while reducing the risk of scratches, polishing-head vibration and surface inconsistency. Final speed and mirror quality depend on the incoming material, consumables, process settings and approved surface sample.
Product Advantages
The following advantages summarize the supplied engineering design points for this rotary disc 8K mirror line.
Developed from more than ten years of practical 8K production experience, with attention to the main difficulties of continuous coil mirror polishing.
An integrated cast-steel machine frame and assembly accuracy within 1 mm provide a stable base for uniform polishing contact.
High-efficiency motors and multi-rib belt transmission are selected to improve power transfer, reduce belt slip and extend replacement intervals.
Special bearing support, balanced rotary components and leakage monitoring support smoother high-speed operation with less vibration.
Nitric-acid-resistant grease, mechanical isolation and triple-seal protection help reduce chemical corrosion around polishing-head bearings.
Accurate assembly and controlled polishing pressure are designed to reduce backing-plate and polishing-wheel wear while supporting effective slurry use.
Two-machine modules with transition sections provide safer access, faster wheel changes and flexible adjustment of rough- and fine-polishing combinations.
Operator-oriented machine access, manual grease filling and a semi-blower arrangement are designed to reduce start-up preparation to within 20 minutes.
Siemens PLC control can integrate temperature, acidity and pressure monitoring for coordinated semi-automatic continuous operation.
Oscillating high-pressure spray cleaning is followed by film handling and a high-specification rear coil-handling system.

Engineering Highlights
- Continuous coil polishing requires controlled slurry circulation, cleaning and residue removal to prevent surface scratches.
- The line uses SB rough polishing followed by staged rotary disc 8K rough and fine polishing for process stability.
- Incoming surface quality is critical. Optional No.4 or Hairline pre-grinding should be confirmed by material inspection and polishing trials.
Production Line Sequence
Decoiling → pinch feeding and leveling → crop shearing → SB rough polishing → rotary disc 8K polishing → cleaning and drying → film lamination → EPC recoiling.
1. Hydraulic Decoiler

2. Front Pinch Roll, Five-Roll Leveler and Crop Shear

4. Rear Four-Roll Pinch Feeder and Guide Rolls

5. Hydraulic Recoiler with EPC Alignment

High-Specification Coil Handling and Control
The entry section combines coil loading, hydraulic decoiling, pinch feeding, five-roll leveling, side guiding and crop shearing. These units prepare the strip for stable continuous polishing.
The exit section is a high-specification configuration: rear four-roll pinch feeder, EPC alignment system, hydraulic recoiler and belt wrapper / coil-assist device. This combination supports stable strip tension, controlled coil-edge alignment and reliable recoiling after 8K polishing and film lamination.
The line uses a Siemens PLC for coordinated equipment control. Individual motor protection, process monitoring and interlocked operation support safer production and easier parameter management.
